ASEAN Committee in Geneva was established by the decision of the 4/6 ASC on March 1973 in Bangkok and subsequently endorsed by decision of the 6th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) on 16-18 April 1973 in Pattaya, Thailand.

ASEAN Committee in Beijing

The ASEAN Committee in Beijing was established on 24 September 1996. It was established after China was granted ASEAN's full Dialogue Partner status during the 29th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) held in Jakarta in July 1996.

The 2/30 ASEAN Standing Committee (ASC) held on 16-17 January 1997 in Lombok, Indonesia approved the establishment of the ASEAN Committee in Beijing (ACB).

ASEAN Seoul Committee

The 3/32 ASC held from 2-4 February 1999 in Bali, Indonesia, approved the establishment of ASEAN Riyadh Committee.

The 5/33 ASC held from 13-15 June 2000 in Jakarta, Indonesia, noted the Philippines information paper on the formation of the ASEAN Riyadh Committee (ARC) which would be officially launched on 19 June 2000.
