The ASEAN
Secretariat has established an emergency
humanitarian relief fund for Myanmar following the
natural disaster there.
The first
contribution of USD 100,000 came from the Nippon
Foundation. The ASEAN Secretariat welcomes friends
and partners to contribute to this fund.
Aside
from tangible contributions, the ASEAN Secretariat
has facilitated, with the strong support of ASEAN
Member States, the re-location of two ASEAN economic
meetings that are to be held in Myanmar next month
to other ASEAN Capitals.
