37^th ASEAN MINISTERIAL MEETING (AMM)

1. Introduction

The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia will be organizing the 37^TH ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) in Jakarta on 29 June – 2 July 2004. The conference will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Indonesia.

2. Accreditation

Accreditation is required to representatives of recognised media organisations assigned to cover the 37^TH ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM). Freelancers should provide a letter of assignment endorsed by their respective agency with their application to be submitted together with the registration form.

Application forms along with a letter of assignment from the Editor / Executive of the Media and two current coloured photographs (3 X 4 cm) should be returned to the Media Secretariat by 18 June 2004.

On-site registration will be opened at 10.00 am on 28 June 2004 at the Media Secretariat at the Jakarta Convention Centre.

Accreditation badges will be also available at the Media Secretariat. The Accreditation badges must be worn at all times.

3. Visa Requirements

Journalists/reporters are required to apply for a journalist visa at the nearest Indonesian Embassy/Representative Offices.

4. Media Facilities

The Media Centre will be in operation on 28 June – 2 July 2004. Selected documentation, including statements, speeches, press materials and announcements will be available at the Media Centre.

The Media Centre will also arrange press conferences, press briefings, and statement by official spoke-persons.

The Media Centre provides computers with internet accesses as well as an internal telephone line. Editing facilities/ media booths/ mini studios are available at the user expenses as well as local/ long distance/ international pay-phones.

5. Accommodation

The media representatives will be responsible for their own travel arrangements, reservation and payments of hotel accommodation. The Organizing Committee has designated the following hotel for media accommodation:

Athlete Century Park Hotel, Jl. Pintu I, Senayan, Jakarta.

* The above-mentioned prices are inclusive breakfast for 2 (two) persons, tax and service.

6. Media Booths/ Mini Studios

The Media Center provides 10 media booths/mini studios at a first come first served basis. Media booths are available at the Media Center on commercial basis. Arrangements for renting the facilities should be made in advance. For further details availability, please contact :

7. Media Programme

Detailed media programme will be provided at the Media Centre.

8. Customs Clearance Requirements

The lists of equipment should be legalised by Indonesian Embassies/Representatives for importation and exportation purposes.
