The Project on Development of Quality System and Hygienic Practice for Small and Medium-Scale Food Industry has been launched by TISI since 1994. Activities comprise:
- Organizing training on development of quality system and hygienic practices for food plants
- On-site training and recommendations for hygienic practices
- Developing guidelines for the application of hygienic practices for food plants
- Surveys and surveillance’s
- Assessing for awarding certificates
- Follow-up surveillance (at least once a year)
- Assessing for renewal of certificates
As of 2 March 1995, 24 food plants have applied to participate in this project.
