ASEAN Secretariat - Nippon Foundation Cooperation

Mr. Shuichi Ono, Executive Director of the Nippon Foundation of Japan visited the ASEAN Secretariat on 7 May 2008 to discuss a memorandum of agreement with Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Surin Pitsuwan on improving the quality of life for the peoples of ASEAN. This will cover areas such as traditional medicine and alternative medicine, support for the disabled, leprosy and human dignity, and human resource development. Mr. Ono is here as a representative of Mr. Yohei Sasakawa, Chariman of the Nippon Foundation.
