THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION AT THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT IN JAKARTA

 

TECHNICAL OFFICER (TO) – CUSTOMS

 

TO Customs is specialist staff providing technical and administrative support with respect to cooperation in trade facilitation, customs matters in particular, in the ASEAN region. The incumbent shall be responsible for technical administrative and professional support to the ASEAN bodies with respect to meetings, shall assist higher level officers for the implementation of activities of technical assistance programme under ASEAN Dialogue Partners, as well as undertake substantive work of the unit. The successful candidate shall also be required to organise and service meetings or other relevant events and perform protocol duties.

 

We are seeking qualified candidates with the following qualifications:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Economy, International Trade, International Business, International Relations, Public Policy, or other related disciplines

  • At least 3 – 5 years relevant working experience.

General qualifications :

  • Good English language skills;

  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools;

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team in a multicultural environment;

  • Able to multi-task and work irregular and long hours;

  •  Able to travel, as and when required; and

  • Knowledge on ISO 9001: 2000 is an advantage.

Upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the successful candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract. Selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic monthly salary (starting from Rp. 5,000,000), monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation insurance, and an annual bonus of a month’s basic salary.
