PROJECT OFFICER

ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program (AADCP) –
Regional Partnerships Scheme

Cardno Acil is seeking to recruit a new Project Officer for the ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program (AADCP) – Regional Partnerships Scheme. This role will formally commence 1 September 2006 however we would be looking for the successful candidate to undertake a hand-over from the current Project Officer in late August 2006.

The Project Officer position description are as follows :

Key Tasks: The Project Officer shall:

  • Review project submissions against key funding criteria and other selection parameters and prepare summary comments for the Joint Selection and Review Panel.

  • Monitor all projects being implemented under the RPS, in part through the review of program reports.

  • Obtain information from implementing agencies on progress for all RPS projects.

  • Maintain close relations with Australian Coordinating Partners and ASEAN bodies

  • Assist with obtaining relevant information on project implementation and progress from the other ASEAN Australia Development Cooperation Program projects

  • Assist in preparing all working papers and reports required for Joint Selection and Review Panel (JSRP) and Joint Planning Committee (JPC) meetings.

  • Provide support to the Project Coordinator as necessary and act on her behalf when absent.

  • Support the Project Coordinator in all preparatory actions required to screen, appraise and obtain initial endorsements of project proposals under the RPS.

  • Support the Project Coordinator in coordinating with relevant ASEC Bureau and other ASEAN bodies to carry out necessary preparatory actions required prior to the submission of project proposals to JSRP for appraisal and selection.

  • Assist in providing support services for all JSRP and JPC meetings.

  • Provide follow up action as required pursuant to all JSRP and JPC meetings.

  • Update and manage the RPSCU project database.

  • Assist with updating and maintaining the AADCP web site at ASEC on all AADCP projects.
