THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS AT THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT IN JAKARTA

TECHNICAL OFFICERS (TOs)

TOs are specialist staff providing technical and administrative support for the coordination and implementation of decisions made by the representative committees of ASEAN. They are also required to organize and service committee meetings, manage projects, undertake research and perform protocol duties. We are seeking qualified candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Preferably Masters degree in Economics, International Relations, Political Science or Public Policy.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in governmental/ international organizations or private sector involved in research, consultancy and/or programme management.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS (TAs)

TAs assist specialist staff in the execution of their duties, including organizing and servicing meetings, project implementation, research, record keeping and other administrative work. We are seeking qualified candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Economic, International Relations, Political Science or Public Policy.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in international relations, political and economic research, consultancy and/or programme management in a governmental or international organization, research institute or the media.

SECRETARY (SEC)

Secretary is responsible to perform administrative duties, correspondence, and other secretarial tasks to support the superior. Also to co-ordinate and manage the administrative support under the bureaux (units under the responsibility of the superior). We are seeking qualified candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum Secretarial Diploma (D3).

  • Minimum 3 years’ of experience in secretarial, clerical, and administrative support services. Ability to organize data and routine correspondence is required.

General qualifications :

  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral);

  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft office tools;

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team in a multicultural environment;

  • Able to multi-task and work irregular and long hours;

  • Able to travel, as and when required.

Upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the successful candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract. Selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic salary starting from Rp. 5,000,000 for TO, Rp. 3,500,000 for TA, and Rp. 2,500,000 for Secretary plus benefits, including an annual 13th month bonus, a monthly transportation allowance, reimbursements for medical treatment and hospitalisation insurance.
