Effective implementation of the Framework for
Environmentally Sustainable Cities in ASEAN will require the
city officials to exploit technology, especially
environmentally sound technologies and adopt innovative
approaches in deploying such technologies to assist them in
implementing the Framework.
The collation of environmentally best practices in the
thematic areas of Clean Air, Clean Water and Clean Land will
help the city officials to adapt some of the best practices
into their action programmes, thereby help shorten the
learning curve for the city officials.
Some of the case studies and existing best practices shared
by participating cities for each of the thematic area (Clean Air,
Clean Water and Clean Land) are illustrated briefly below:
