The next step for the ASEAN Working Group on Environmentally Sustainable Cities (AWGESC) would be to conduct thematic workshops and training programmes to help cities to implement their respective environmental master plans and develop the capacity to adopt environmental best practices successfully. The preliminary list of environmental indicators will be further looked at and developed at each of these thematic workshops.
