Higher Diploma in Hotel

As part of the route of advancement in SHATEC, all
SHATEC Diploma in Hotel Management and Diploma in Tourism Management students
may progress to the 6-month Higher Diploma in Hotel Management (HDHM) if they
meet the necessary requirements. There are two routes: ·
Direct entry
BEFORE completion of DHM/DTM industrial attachment. Students who gain direct entry will have to fulfill 9 months of
industrial attachment upon completing the Higher Diploma programme. ·
Entry AFTER
successful completion of the DHM/DTM programme: -
HDHM industrial
attachment component is waived for DHM graduates provided they have
successfully completed the attachment in a hotel; -
DTM students who
join the HDHM after their DTM industrial attachment (unless the attachments
is in a hotel) will need to fulfill 3 months of industrial attachment in a
hotel. Applicants must have either successfully completed the institutional
training of the Diploma in Hotel Management or Diploma in Tourism Management
courses with a minimum overall GPA of 2.8. |
