The ASEAN Secretariat invites

TECHNICAL OFFICER (TO) – FINANCe

 

 

The job is multi-faceted and highly challenging.  The successful candidates will play a key role in on-going efforts to modernise and streamline financial management at the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC).  They will deal with a broad array of finance issues covering the entire range of the ASEC’s activities. 

 

Job Specifications

 

·          Manage/assist in the financial operations of ASEC, including budgeting preparation, book-keeping and financial reporting, cash flow management, maintaining and enhancing relations with agent banks, coordinating and facilitating audits of accounts.

·          Ensure compliance with established financial rules and procedures.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A good degree in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant business discipline gained from a reputable institution and auditing experience is an advantage.

  • A minimum of 4-5 years experience in multinational organisation.  Experience in supervisory role would be an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Results-oriented; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Willing to travel on a short notice and act on other ad-hoc assignments if needed.

  • Excellent English communications skills (written and spoken).

  • Proficient in using information technology (IT) tools, including familiarity with popular financial information software packages.

  • Able to interact effectively with colleagues of different nationalities at all levels.

  • Willing to work overtime and train other staff members.

 

In addition, candidates must exhibit honesty, integrity team work, and a strong sense of fairness due to the nature and demands of the job.

 

Upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the successful candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract.  Selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic salary (starting from Rp. 5,000,000.00) and benefits, including an annual 13th month bonus, a monthly transportation allowance, reimbursements for medical treatment, and hospitalisation insurance.  Prospects for promotion are excellent.
