THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES CANDIDATES
FROM MOTIVATED ASEAN NATIONALS RESIDING IN INDONESIA
FOR THE
FOLLOWING PROJECT POST IN JAKARTA:
TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (TA)
CULTURE AND INFORMATION UNIT
We
are looking for bright and self motivated applicants as a Technical
Assistant (TA) to serve in the Culture and Information Unit of the
ASEAN Secretariat.
The successful candidate will be supporting the Unit in
coordinating, managing and monitoring the implementation of ASEAN
programmes and projects in the area of culture and information.
He/She would also be largely responsible for supporting a designated
consultant in designing and developing the ASEAN Culture and
Information Website and will perform daily maintenance of the
Website. He/she will write-up the content for the Website and ensure
accuracy and clarity of the stories and articles on the Website;
will communicate with the relevant officials of ASEAN Member
Countries in order to obtain updates/information/photographs for the
Website; will develop graphics, logos, set up discussion forums, and
other related multimedia content; and formulate strategies for
enhancing the Website.
The successful candidate would also be required to carry out other
tasks for the Unit as directed by the supervisor.
To be considered, the candidates must possess the following
qualities:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
and Technology, Communications, Journalism or a related field.

3-5 years experience in web management and programming and
experience in writing content in English for websites.

Advanced proficiency with HTML, including style sheets,
templates, complex tables, frames, and image maps would be an
advantage.

Must possess working knowledge of basic composition, page
layout, art and office/web software packages such as MS Word,
Excel, Dreamweaver, Adobe PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, and
Acrobat (or Free/Open Source Software equivalents). Experience
with Linux/Unix system administration and Content Management
System (CMS) would be an added advantage.

Proven creativity in graphic design.
General Qualifications:

Good command of
written and spoken English and ability to communicate with users.

Able to
multi-task and work irregular and long hours.

Good
communication and interpersonal skills and experience in working
effectively in a multicultural environment.

A team-player and
self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision, with sound
judgment.

Able to travel
abroad, as and when required.

Knowledge of
regional cooperation and familiarity with ISO 9001-2000 system and
procedures will be an added advantage.
Upon the successful completion of a 3-month probationary
period, the successful candidate will be confirmed for a ONE-year
contract (inclusive of the probationary period). The selected
candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic
salary of Rp. 3,500,000, plus a monthly transportation allowance,
medical allowance and annual 13th month bonus.
