TECHNICAL OFFICER (TO) – TRADE IN SERVICES
We are looking for bright and self motivated candidates for the
position of Technical Officer (TO) – Trade in Services to work with
the specialist staff members in the execution of their duties.
The main responsibilities of the Technical Officer – Trade in
Services include:
-
Compile and analyse ASEAN Member Countries' trade in services
commitments and services regulations;
-
Assist in preparing meeting documents and reports;
-
Conduct research and prepare papers;
-
Facilitate and service relevant meetings and draft report of
meeting; and
-
Liaise with ASEAN government officials and other related parties
on the preparation, conduct and follow-up to ASEAN meetings and
activities.
The successful candidate should posses the following qualifications:
-
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Public
Administration, or Business Administration;
-
Competence in economic research and data analysis, project
management, and organising meetings. Knowledge or experience in
the conduct of business in services sectors is an advantage; and
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in economic research, consultancy
and/or programme management, in a governmental, international, or
private sector organisation.
In
addition, the following general qualifications are required:
-
Excellent English communications skills (written and oral);
-
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office tools;
-
Able to multi-task and work irregular and long hours;
-
Able to work independently as well as in a team in a multicultural
environment;
-
Able to travel, as and when required; and
-
Knowledge of regional and international economic cooperation and
familiarity with ISO 9001-2000 system and procedures will be an
added advantage.
Upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the
successful candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract.
Selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of
basic monthly salary (starting from Rp. 5,000,000), monthly
transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement,
hospitalisation insurance, and an annual bonus of a month’s basic
salary.
