THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION AT THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT IN JAKARTA

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (TA) – TOURISM

TA Tourism is a specialist staff who is responsible to provide substantive inputs and administrative support with respect to the implementation of tourism cooperation projects and programmes. He/she will also be responsible to manage the administrative support to the ASEAN bodies with respect to ASEAN calendar of meetings.

He/she will undertake research on issues pertaining to tourism in the region, monitor progresses in tourism in the ASEAN Member Countries and other countries, maintain, compile, and analyses statistical data and update information on websites. With regards to ASEAN calendar of meetings, he/she will provide necessary support in the preparation of meetings as well as to manage administrative and logistics arrangements during meetings. He/she will also assist in the project management, implementation, and monitoring in the area of tourism.

He/she will also be required to perform protocol duties.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism or Management and/or any other related degree.

  • At least 3 – 5 years working experience in relevant fields, preferably in tourism area.

General qualifications :

  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral)

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team in a multicultural environment

  • Able to multi-task and work irregular and long hours

  • Able to travel as and when required

  • Knowledge on ISO 9001: 2000 is an advantage.

Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation, the candidate will be confirmed for a 3-year contract. The selected candidate will receive an attractive package consisting of basic monthly salary (starting from Rp. 3,500,000), monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation insurance, and an annual bonus of a month’s basic salary.
